Alix was raised on sounds of Disco, Soul, and Salsa. Born in The Bronx, he began mixing house records with Hip hop at age 12. His love for music inspired him to study production in Manhattan. He became a Sound Engineer, and received the opportunity to work at the famous Master at Work Studios in 1999, where he met Mr. V. Their friendship and complementary sound sparked “SOLE Channel”, a weekly party that delivered soulful, funky, House to dancers into the early morning — and then their label, SOLE Channel Music. Alix has produced over 20 original tracks, including “Da Bump” featuring Mr. V and Miss Patty on Defected Records, and over 40 remixes with Miguel Migs, Tortured Soul, Amy Winehouse, and more.
